On Friday, January 3, surrounded by family and friends, Binghamton High School senior Justin Fiato signed a Letter of Intent to play golf at Le Moyne College.

Fiato, who also plays hockey and lacrosse, is the first Binghamton High School golfer to sign a letter of intent to golf at the collegiate level. His love for the sport grew over the years, playing golf with his dad. Fiato said he chose Division II Le Moyne, in part, for its close proximity to Binghamton.

With his parents, siblings, and grandfather by his side, Fiato thanked his family, friends and coaches for their support. He paid a special tribute to his late coach, Jorie Ftorek, who Fiato said will be with him "every time he steps on the course."

Fiato plans to study business and sports marketing at Le Moyne.
