Binghamton City Schools Foundation

The Binghamton City Schools Foundation was established to enhance the educational experience of students in the Binghamton City Schools by providing additional resources to support the curriculum. The Foundation awards grants to school district staff members who submit proposals for special projects or activities that fall beyond the scope of the district's operating budget.

Since 2008, the Foundation has awarded over $200 K to fund unique and innovative projects. This year, the Foundation has distributed more than $33 K in grants for 13 projects. A garden club at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, much needed library chairs at Thomas Jefferson Elementary and STEM Legos and Literature items for Calvin Coolidge Elementary are just some of the exciting and rewarding projects that have been funded by the Foundation.

One hundred percent of our funding comes from donations. Through the continued generosity of private individuals, corporations and public/private foundations, the Binghamton City Schools Foundation can help to make a lasting impact on the educational experience of our students for generations to come.

Please consider supporting the Foundation through a donation or by participating in our current fundraising campaign, "Take Your Seat." We sincerely thank you for your generosity.

The Binghamton City Schools Foundation grant program provides funding for teachers, staff members and students who submit a proposal for an educational program, project or activity that complements and supports the initiatives of the district and enhances the educational experiences of students in the Binghamton schools.
