The Binghamton City School District is pleased to announce the passing of the 2022-2023 school budget, and introduce our newest Board of Education member.
This year, 635 voters came out to the polls, and the budget passed by a 74 percent majority. The final results can be viewed here. The repair reserve proposition also passed. Congratulations to Liza Beautz Turner who will be joining the school board July 1 for a five-year term.
The budget, in conjunction with the one time federal stimulus funding, will support the shared commitment to help each and every BCSD student to achieve success. This budget will provide us the resources to help our students thrive academically, socially and emotionally, and will help us move the district forward.
