A team from EMS participated in this year's great "Kids CAN Build Project." The students created a nine-foot structure in the shape of the middle school. The structure used 3,088 cans and was dedicated in loving memory to Aliza Spencer.
Kids CAN Build is a new initiative focused on hunger awareness and promoting STEM education in schools. All of the cans and proceeds from the project will help support hunger-relief activities in Broome County through the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.
