Requests for Medically Fragile Students

BCSD Requests for Medically Fragile Students
Posted on 08/09/2021
We anticipate full in-person student instruction, 5-days per week, for BCSD students for the 2021-2022 school year. There will not be a hybrid learning option as there was last year, although we do know that some students may have unique medical situations that require fully remote instruction.

Fully remote instruction will not be a general option as it was in the past. We look forward to all students being physically in school this year.

Please complete this form ONLY if your student has a medically-fragile condition that would prevent them from returning to a BCSD school building for instruction OR if your student is living in the same household with a medically-fragile individual.

For this survey, "medically-fragile" means a potentially life-threatening reaction if exposed to COVID, with medical documentation as support. It does NOT mean lack of vaccination, or not having had the opportunity to vaccinate for students under 12.

Please note that students who are medically unable to attend in-person school are prohibited from participating in interscholastic athletics or school-sponsored activities.

For 21-22, "fully remote instruction" will NOT be a virtual version of an in-person class. Instruction will be provided in a fully-virtual Zoom classroom with direct instruction from a fully-virtual teacher. The class may be composed of students across several BCSD buildings and/or with students outside the district.

Please complete this survey by Friday, August 20 ONLY if a medically-fragile situation applies to your student.
