On Nov. 18 two fifth grade students from the Binghamton City School District were recognized as Akshar All-Stars. Thomas Jefferson student Abigail Okogu and Horace Mann student Dante Osborne received a surprise visit from Senator Fred Akshar to announce their awards. An Akshar All-Star is a student who has shown great leadership, compassion, school spirit or improvement amongst their peers. This is the fourth year of the program.
The students being acknowledged have undoubtedly brought a unique positivity to their classrooms and communities and we are so grateful that they were able to be recognized and celebrated.
